A corrugated board is essentially a paper sandwich made up of corrugated medium sandwiched between the inside and outside linerboard. Corrugated boxes are well recognized for their structural strength, which protects packaged products throughout the transportation and distribution cycle, carrying goods from producer to consumer in their best form, shape, and design. Today, it has evolved into a much more flexible product.

It is made up of at least one layer of fluted paper and a base layer or liner paper. Corrugated boards used for preservation typically have at least three layers. A combination of two paper layers known as “liners” is attached to wave-shaped fluted paper and bent with heat and pressure. The wave structure (flute) of the middle layer contributes to the corrugated board’s significant rigidity and resistance. Avon Packaging’s single and multiple-layered corrugated board grades stand out in terms of quality from other known recycled corrugated board available due to their high paper base weight (grammage).
